Day 01: Varanasi
Arrive Varanasi, meet assistance & transfer to hotel. Evening visit to ghats for
Aarti The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre
burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated
on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Overnight
Varanasi.
Day 02: Varanasi (Excursion to Sarnath)
Morning drive to Sarnath. Sarnath is the deer park where Gautama Buddha first taught
the Dharma, and where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the enlightenment
of Kondanna. Sarnath is located 13 kilometres north-east of Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh,
India.
Day 03: Varanasi - Satna
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from Ghat to
Ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun.
In time transfer to railway station to board overnight train for Satna. Night on
Board.
Day 04: Arrive Satna - Khajuraho
Arrive Satna & straight drive to Khajuraho. Arrive & transfer top hotel. Day for
relax. Overnight Khajuraho.
Day 05: Khajuraho
Morning sight seeing. One of the best western temple (Kama-sutra temple). Evening
time visit to waterfall. Overnight Khajuraho.
Day 06: Khajuraho - Orchha
Morning drive to Orchha. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour visit Orchha's
grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time & a rich legacy to the ages.
For, on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly: the palaces and
the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much
of their pristine glory. Jahangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris
has a spectacular view of soaring temple spires & cenotaphs. Overnight Orchha.
Day 07: Orchha - Agra
After morning breakfast, Leave for Agra, in Uttar Pradesh. Arrive in Agra, check
into your hotel Afternoon visit Agra Fort, Tomb of Itimad ud Daula, and other attractions
of Agra. Overnight Agra. Morning visit the marble marvel the Taj Mahal. Built by
the Mughal.
Day 08: Agra - Ranthambore
Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century, the Taj Mahal continues to astound visitors
with its sublime perfection. Later drive to Ranthambore. Arrive & transfer to hotel.
Overnight Ranthambore.
Day 09: Ranthambore
Morning wildlife safari in Ranthambore National Park. You can see monkeys, birds,
deer, and if you're lucky tigers in Ranthambore. Evening Jungle safari. Overnight
Ranthambore.
Day 10: Ranthambore - Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Later visit Amber Fort. It
was the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amber, before the capital
was shifted to present day Jaipur. Amber Fort is known for its unique artistic style,
blending both Hindu and Muslim elements, and its ornate and breathtaking artistic
mastery. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 11: Jaipur
Morning tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat
of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained
this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260
years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal
& through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 12: Jaipur - Ajmer/ Pushkar
Morning drive to Ajmer/Pushkar. Ajmer was founded by the Chauhan ruler, Aiaipal,
during the 11th century & is dominated by the Taragarh Fort built by Prithviraj
Chauhan. In Pushkar, visit the holy Lake and also the famous Brahma Temple. Pushkar
is one of the holiest places for Hindus. Overnight Pushkar.
Day 13: Pushkar - Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Overnight Udaipur.
Day 14: Udaipur
Morning tour of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar
Lake, Sahelion ki bari (Queen's resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir
(Folk art museum). Afternoon free. Overnight Udaipur.
Day 15: Udaipur - Jodhpur
Morning drive to Jodhpur visiting Ranakpur Temples enroute. Ranakpur - 98 kms from
Udaipur, the Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley
of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quiet and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures
and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are
similar. The magic of light & shade is really awe inspiring. Surya Temple and other
Jain Temples are side attractions. Overnight Jodhpur.
Day 16: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
Morning visit the Meharangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone Hill, including
Moti-Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memorium
built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Later drive to
Jaisalmer. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Overnight Jaisalmer.
Day 17: Jaisalmer
Morning visit Jaisalmer. Visit the Fort, bazzars and the old mansions known as "havelis".
People still live in these ancient buildings dating from 12th to 15th century. Every
house has exquisite carvings and filigreed work. Overnight Jaisalmer.
Day 18: Jaisalmer to Bikaner
Drive to Bikaner. Afternoon tour of this desert city. Bikaner is bolstered by imposing
walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded
by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions,
a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway
leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings
and births were once celebrated. Overnight Bikaner.
Day 19: Bikaner - Alsisar/ Mandawa
Drive to Alsisar. Rest of the day visit the Shekhavati villages. The whole area
of Shekhavati has beautiful frescoes, havelis & mansions and is called the open
air gallery. Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 20: Mandawa - Delhi
Morning drive to Delhi. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Evening shopping. Overnight
Delhi.
Day 21: Mandawa - Delhi
Morning tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi ,
Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar
built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch
), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House,
Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings & Connaught Place shopping centre.
In time transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey.
