South India Hill Beach & Hill Station Tour
Day 01: Trivandrum - Kovalam
Arrive at Trivandrum airport or railway station & proceed to Kovalam, the internationally
renowned beach destination. By noon check in at the resort. Spend the rest of the
day at this palm fringed beach. A massive rocky promontory on the beach makes its
waters absolutely safe for swimming and water sports.
Day 02: Kovalam
After breakfast you can indulge in some ayurvedic massaging at the resort. Evening
at the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 03: Kovalam to Kanyakumari
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Kanyakumari. Check in at
the hotel. Evening visit Vivekanda Rock memorial. Witness the majestic sunset at
the southern tip of Indian sub continent. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.
Day 04: Kanyakumari to Alleppey
Morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey. By noon check in to the Houseboat for
a 20 hour long cruise through the world famous backwaters of Kerala. Houseboat (Kettuvalloms)
is a indigenously developed and designed private boat with fully furnished spacious
bath attached bed rooms, hygiene kitchen ,dining area and private front deck to
capture the beauty of the back waters. The cruise through palm fringed narrow canals
, the unique life of the backwater people and above all the nature around you will
make long lasting impressions in your mind. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 05: Alleppey to Kumarakom (Backwaters)
After breakfast check out and drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom in the last decade has
grown from a little known backwater village to a world renowned tourist destination.
The serene atmosphere will sooth your souls and refresh your mind and body. Evening
visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary which is home for a number of migratory birds
like Siberian stork, darter, heron and the list goes on. Spend the night in the
luxury of your resort.
Day 06: Kumarakom - Thekkady (wild life sanctuary)
After breakfast move to Thekkady. By noon at Thekkady famous for its Periyar Tiger
Reserve . After lunch and a short nap proceed to Periyar lake around which the sanctuary
is built, for boating. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the
unique experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of
a boat. By night fall back to your resort with refreshing memories wildlife.
Day 07: Thekkady to Munnar
After breakfast move to Munnar. This small town in the Western Ghats which is famous
for its picture book towns, mist clad hills, sprawling tea gardens, sanctuaries
and above all the climate is one of the most sought after tourist destination in
India today. By noon check in to the hotel. Afternoon proceed to Rajamala, part
of Eravikulam National Park which is the home for the highly endangered Nilgiri
Thar. This place is the home for half of the world’s Nilgiri Thar population. Evening
back at the resort to enjoy your cool stay in Munnar.
Day 08: Munnar
After breakfast, visit Mattupetty Dam were you can enjoy boating through the reservoir
flanked with tea garden on one side and never ending Grass land on the other. Mattupetty
is also famous for its Indo-Swiss live stock project. The Echo point famous for
its echo phenomenon is a famous halting point for the tourists. Your last halt is
Top Station which offers breath taking views of Munnar valley and on a clear day
unto Coimbatore town. Return to the resort and overnight stay.
Day 09: Munnar to Kodaikanal
After breakfast proceed to Kodaikanal. By noon arrive at Kodaikanal . Check in at
the hotel. Evening at leisure. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 10: Kodaikanal
After Morning breakfast proceed for half day local tour of Kodaikanal, covering
Bryant Park, Coaker's walk, Pillar Rock and Suicide point. Evening visit Kodai Lake.
Kodai lake is a man-made star shaped lake, which spreads out over sixty acres. Evening
return back to hotel and over night stay at hotel.
Day 11: Kodaikanal to Ooty
Morning after breakfast proceed to Ooty .This famous hill station in Nilgiri Hills
was the summer headquarters of the British. The picturesque Ooty with its verdant
hills, the lush green valleys and untouched virgin nature offers you a heavenly
feeling. Check in hotel and over night stay at Ooty.
Day 12: Ooty
After breakfast proceed for a site seeing tour of Ooty. Visit the Doddabeta Peak
which is the highest peak of Ooty. From here you will get a very panoramic view
of the neighboring regions. By noon back at Ooty town. Afternoon visit the famous
Botanical garden built in 1847 and the Ooty Lake were boating facility is available.
Horse-back riding around the lake also is available. Evening free for shopping and
other activities . Overnight at Ooty.
Day 13: Ooty to Mysore
After breakfast proceed to Mysore . By noon at Mysore. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon
visit Mysore Palace it is one of the major attractions of Mysore. Then to Mysore
Zoo were you can see some of the rare species of wildlife evening proceed to world
famous Brindavan garden expended over 150 acres. The musical fountain and light
show adds attraction to the garden. Then return back to the hotel and over night
stay at Hotel.
Day 14: Mysore to Bangalore
Morning after breakfast to Bangalore. On the way visit Srirangapatana which was
the capital of King Hyder Ali and his son Tippu Sultan. By noon arrival at Bangalore.
Afternoon proceed for a city tour of Bangalore covering Lab bagh, Cubbon park, Vidhan
soudha and finally at Commercial Street for a bit of shopping. By evening return
back to hotel and over night stay at Bangalore.
Day 15: Bangalore
After breakfast our driver will drop you at the airport or railway station for your
onward destination.
